07 Yamaha Royal Star Tour Deluxe. Spitting fuel out of overflow

at least I think it is the overflow.

Started bike for the 2nd time this year. Started on full choke after aa bit of cranking. Went to push the choke in a bit and noticed fuel running out of a hose on the left side up by that side air filter. Have not had a chance to look at it yet, but I am open to suggestions where to look. I have a Clymer hard copy manual and an electronic Yamaha service manual.

I've cleaned & repaired the aftermath of neglect/damage of others on hundreds of carbs. I owned the 2005 RSTD five years.
The four (heated) down draft carbs are bolted together in a square arrangement.
FIRST, DO NO HARM.
Sounds like you have fuel coming out an overflow tube. Likely caused by deposits on the needle & seat.
Getting the four airbox boots all in place after is a tedious part of the job.
