Are the front and rear Cylinder and piston interchangeable? aka green / red piston?

I noticed the shop manual says there's a cylinder A and cylinder B as well as specifying a "green" and a "red" piston, but I'm not sure what this means.

I need a replacement rear cylinder for a 2001 v990, so I'm wondering if I can use the front cylinder and piston combo off a 2003 v990?

Will any cylinder from this list fit?
