R3 2.5l… yeah baby….!

I loved my Harley, but life’s too short etc. Traded it for this R3 TFC.

Very interesting bike! The engine is something else, unlike any motorcycle I’ve ever ridden. The handling is much better than it should be, but it’s gonna take some getting used to I think, those fat tyres (240 rear) provide very different (read strange) feedback. The riding position is not ‘cruiser’ at all, I like it, but haven’t tried it on a long run yet.

I need to reduce the overall bar width, A) for filtering and B) to get it down the side of my house easily! Any recommendations for good quality folding bar end mirrors would be gratefully received.

I know it’s nuts, but in this ever suffocating snowflake woke world, it’s just a great “F**K OFF” to ‘em all !!

Awesome machine, our lad bought one last year and loves it! Those bars look like they could be shortened but I think they carry the elecs.

Yes the bars could be shortened but yes, they do carry the electrics and have locating holes for the controls etc so it’d be a bigger job than on an old school Triumph for sure !

However, I do like the riding position and the hand position, so what I want to do is leave the grips where they are and fit some kind of foldable bar end mirrors, I can then also cut about 3/8” off each side as well. It’s not the bars that are my real issue, it’s the fact the mirrors add to the width just a little too much.

I reckon that combination would just about give me what I want.

Which model does your lad have? Has he changed the exhaust? That’s the next thing for me I reckon but not yet sure which way to go with that.

Our Lad bought the cruiser style to start with but soon changed the bars and pegs. Exhaust is standard still but may not be for long, I think he got it remapped once used to it.

Well my exhaust won’t be standard for long, just ordered the Zard for it

Not my favourite looker, but from what I can glean from every clip and video I can find, it’s the best sound.

Saves 7-8kg as well… though the air in the bloody tyres probably weight more than that !

If fitted the Zard pipe.

Quite easy to instal, they provide zero instructions, but do have a very good instructional video on YouTube.

Buying and fitting it myself saved around £600 on what the Triumph dealer would have charged.

Its supposed to give a power increase but it’s hard to tell. Plus it saves weight and looks great… but most important of all… Wow, it sounds fabulous!

It’s not offensively loud, but provides such an exhilarating soundtrack when riding.

Highly recommended.

The real bad news is I’ve just seen the updates from TTS on their supercharger kit for these bikes….

Such a neat installation, basically looks OEM.

I don’t think my Missus would even notice it…

Here’s a couple of pics of the TTS blower.

If this doesn’t give you a hard on you should go and buy an electric scooter already…

Looks comfortable and quick. Reminds me of a mid-90's BMW, only more of a giant hot rod bobber. I doubt it would be easy to wear that motor out. Probably go 200,000 miles easy.

I did not get a hard on looking at the blower. We already have two Toyota Prius autos, and I don't need an electric scooter. :)

It’s a seriously impressive bike IMHO. It’s far more rideable and handles far, far, better than you’d imagine. And it just puts such a grin on my face every time I ride it. A proper ‘feel good’ machine.

The blower is just being silly… But I never claimed to be Captain Sensible…!!

It's a cool looking ride. Hell a bunch of motor. Probably pulls like a Ferrari or Dodge Hellcat.

Hope you get some big grins on it and always keep the rubber side down.

Pic of the Zard pipe I fitted to mine.
With this the bike sounds absolutely blood curdling awesome !
On the gas or on the overrun.
Not obnoxiously loud, but louder than stock with a deep tone to it.
Well chuffed:
