As previously mentioned in the forum, I love my 2018 Limited. Now that is except for one think. The gear shift linkage is crappy. Mine is already worn out after 15K miles. It rattles around and has become worn and lose. Upon further examination its very poor quality. I will be replacing this with a better after market version. Stay tuned for photos.
Jerry, they USED TO be top quality, a bunch of years ago. I remember musing at the Heim joint on my '74 SuperGlide linkage, impressed by the engineering quality.
Sadly, EVERYTHING in our world has cheapened quality.
My buddies 2018 Street Glide just had failed front wheel bearings, 8,000 miles.
Why? GenX engineers did away with the seals. Yup. What worked for 75 years was tossed. Instead, the only "seal" is on the lowest bidder bearing. Corrosion happens, gobbles up the seal.
